This picturesque, 3 km trail leads to Spruce Island Lake, located in the Spruce Island Lake Natural Area.

A lovely signed trail deep in the woods of Spruce Island Lake Natural Area. Directions: follow the trail, cross the pipeline and keep to the left when the trail forks. Spruce Island Lake itself is about 1.2 miles long and about half a mile across is has three spruce covered islands on it. It was formed during the past ice age by large chunks of ice which were left behind. Along the Natural Sandy Beach side of the lake gives you a stunning view of the Sunset. Reportedly, the lake turning a slight purple colour at sunset due to the large quantity of purple rocks and boulders in and around the lake.
